Effective Education for Disaster Risk Reduction - Learning Matters.
As you may know, I am carrying out research for my PhD, which is related to Transformational Learning. This is said to occur when learners are faced with difficulties which may have occurred via the training or learning experience being offered. I am interested in this as I believe it may open the door to learning that can be maintained over longer periods of time. I have carried out narrative inquiry interviews with Community Emergency Response Teams in the USA, as this is a type of informal learning. I will be carrying out semi-structured interviews with people responsible for learning in International NGO's this month.
But what I really need is people who are emergency managers or first responders (Blue Light Agencies such as Firefighters and EMT/Ambulance) who might be able to talk about the impact of training, experience and trust as these all impact on the effectiveness of Transformational Learning. I am attaching a link and a link to the questionnaire below. If you know of anyone or it is yourself, I would REALLY appreciate your help as this is essential to my PhD research. If you have any questions, you can also do so here.
Thank you very much for your help! PLEASE pass on to whoever you can, even if it just the link to the questionnaire with a little bit of explanation!
