Effective Education for Disaster Risk Reduction - Learning Matters.
Good afternoon all
We are about to undertake development work on a project we are calling "Lincolnshire Safe Haven Project" aimed at strengtheninng community resilience through education whilst bringing a sense of community belonging and citizenship to all schools / accademies and young people in Lincolnshire. Amongst the many outcomes for this project, one we are keen to explore is the enhancement of emergency shelter and accommodation infrastructure in the county by giving the ownership of the design and development back to the school and its students.
Before we start this project, I would just like to ask the forum if anyone has had any experience of anything similar?
